Albemarle Volleyball Beats Hornets 3-0

Albemarle secured a win against Orange Tuesday night leveling the Hornets in just three games.

In the first game, Albemarle dominated the Hornets, winning 25-7. Seniors Alexis Duday and Ellie Benning had a total of five kills each for the night.  Sophomore Katie Schnell also finished with 4 kills. Duday, Benning and Junior Madison Warlick all finished with above a .400 hitting percentage.

The second game was a team effort for the Pats, as the Hornets put up a fight, keeping the game tied for the first few points, but Albemarle prevailed, winning the game 25-13. Sophomore Gabbi DeGennaro picked up one of her three total blocks for the night.

The third game was a solid one for Senior Cindy Yu, as she scored several aces in a row, adding to her ace count for the night at 6. Yu also finished out with 11 points and five digs. AHS won the game 25-10, securing the match win.

The Patriots will play Western Albemarle on Tuesday at home.
