Transportation Department Honors Director with Parade

If you heard drums at the end of Patriot Period, you weren’t imagining them.
The Marching Patriot drumline participated in a bus parade to honor retiring director of transportation James Foley.
Decorated school buses snaked through the bus lot beside the school, while the drums kept a steady rhythm to add a festive feel.
Foley, who has served as director of transportation for 11 years, will retire at the end of the year and move to Williamsburg.
Director of Transportation Jim Foley reaches out to an appreciative staff member. Drivers from each school decorated their buses and paraded through the AHS bus lot to honor Foley for his service to ACPS.
The Marching Patriot drumline performs a cadence while the buses roll by.
Blowing whistles and waving pom-poms, the be-wigged post-high staff show their love for Foley.
The post-high staff went all out for Foley, including a red “carpet,” leis, and lots of good wishes.
The drumline plays its way out at the end of the parade in order to be back in class by the end of first lunch.
