“I had a 35+ year corporate career where I met one of the most influential people in my life. For many many years, I worked for someone who was my boss. He and I worked together at about a dozen different companies all up and down the east coast, mainly working with technology companies. During this time I was able to observe and learn from his leadership skills and ability to work with people. He was a good leader and great with his team, which is super important. Leaders need to be both intelligent and motivating and he was always a great motivator and someone I have since looked up to from that perspective. My own leadership, both when teaching and prior to teaching in engineering fields, has benefited from his mentorship.”
