P-A-T-S! Prep for Homecoming Spirit Week

September 17, 2014

Students cheer at last year’s homecoming pep rally decked out in red, white, and blue.

With Sept. 27 rapidly approaching, homecoming is right around the corner. SCA and Leadership have made a final decision on spirit days.

Monday’s spirit day will be class color day (freshmen in red, sophomores in white, juniors in blue, and seniors in black), Tuesday will be tropical day, Wednesday will be superhero day, Thursday will be 50’s/ Grease day, and Friday will be Patriot out.

Spirit wars will also be in full swing. From 8am – 4pm students can post school appropriate pictures, via Twitter, of them and at least one other person in spirit attire. @ahspiritwars must be tagged in the picture, along with the specific hashtag for the grade (#ahshoco10, etc.). The winning grade will be announced at the pep rally on Friday.

Spirit events will be happening throughout the week as well. Students and teachers will have an opportunity to decorate classroom doors, participate in a scavenger hunt, and take part in the Twitter competition.

All students are encouraged to participate in the spirit wars and competitions to show their Patriot pride!
