CATEC will host a blood drive for the American Red Cross this Halloween in the small gym.
From 8:30 a.m. – 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31, students over age 16 may donate blood and receive food, water and a small gift. Minors need permission forms signed by a parent, while students over 18 do not.
The American Red Cross is experiencing a national blood shortage, with supply falling 25% since August. Donors are “urgently needed” to meet hospital demand, according to the Red Cross website.
