Sophomores Hadley Clarke and Paige Davis rehearse for the Drama 2 class’ one act, Antigone, on Feb. 13 in the auditorium.
The Drama 2 class will perform Antigone on Thursday, Feb. 15 in the auditorium during their Friends and Family show.
Antigone is a Greek tragedy where the titular character tries to honor her late brother against the decree of the ruler of Thebes. The Drama class’s rendition is a more modernized version with some traditional elements of the original play included.
This is the class’s VHSL One Act entry, which they will perform at the Feb. 16 competition at J.R. Tucker High School in Henrico, VA. There, they will also watch the one act plays performed by other Virginia schools.
The performance starts at 7 p.m. and lasts 35 minutes, and admission is free to all.
