SOLs are scheduled differently than in past years.
Rather than all students in a subject taking the test in the big gym at the same time, students will be in smaller groups in the pods. If a student has an SOL, they will report to a classroom in the 400s or 500s and take the test with the rest of their class at the beginning of the day.
The first block of the day will be 3 hours long for students to complete their SOL. If a student completes their SOL before the three hours are finished, they will receive a pass to go back to their normal first period class.

The schedule changes after May 5-6 so that a different period will be in the long block, and the rest of the periods will slide to accommodate. For example, on May 7, Period 2A is in the 3 hour block, and after that comes Period 3A during the lunch block, Period 4A right after lunch, and Period 1A at the end of the day.
English teachers who are normally in the pods will be in different rooms around the school during the 3 hour block. Students should check with their English teachers to see where they should report during those times.
Students should report to their testing room by 8:55 each day if they have an SOL and bring their school laptop and charger. Cell phones will need to be turned off and put in their backpack in the front of the room or turned into the proctor for the duration of the test.
