- 9th and 10th grade Geometry and Algebra 2/Trigonometry.
- 20 years teaching college with the University of Maine and Husson University as well as substitute and tutor experience for high schoolers.
- “Since I was little, in 6th grade, my teacher would ask me to come in early before school started and gather the students and help them with math. They thought I was good at math and could explain it well. One of my strengths in teaching is making difficult concepts sound a little easier. So it’s like I’m translating it, making a different concept into something they can understand. I just loved it since I was doing all kinds of tutoring since I was in middle school. In high school I always loved math. When I graduated my DV wasn’t in education; I studied random things like computer science and system management. The dean at the college I was at asked me if I wanted to teach algebra for college and at the time I wasn’t a math major, circa 2003, they needed a math teacher, so I was like sure! I walked in, started teaching algebra, and loved it.”
