Starbuck’s Witches Brew Frappuccino Is Spooktacular

Starbucks Witch’s Brew frappuccino is available until Halloween.

The Witch’s Brew Frappuccino itself has a lavender to dark purple gradient coloring with chia seeds intermixed. Topped with a mountain of vanilla whipped cream and sprinkled with green, crystallized sugar to represent lizard scales, it seems daunting to an ordinary viewer.

The aroma can be compared to that of an orange creamsicle and tastes much like liquified Fruity Pebbles, with a hint of orange. The chia seeds or “bat warts” (according to the Starbucks website) can go either way with this concoction. Some really enjoy the little addition of fiber, while others protest against its chunky texture.

For my peculiar taste buds, I was pleased with the drink. Maybe it was the fact I needed a quick sugar fix to reboot my system, or I was delighted by the concept of orange creamsicles and chia seeds. One thing’s for sure, after I finished the Witch’s Brew, I was chilled to the bone.

The Witch’s Brew Frappuccino was available beginning Oct. 25, but there is no word on how long it will be sold. Many assume it will be sold until Halloween, so get this limited edition, spooktacular frappuccino while you still can. It may just cast a spell on you.
