I think that if you get raped you should have a right to [get an abortion] if you want to get it because it is really not your fault that you got raped. “Well, I am saddened by the election results. I just didn’t want McAuliffe to win, I would have like Sarvis or Cuccinelli, but I’m angry at Sarvis for taking votes from Cuccinelli. I think if Sarvis wasn’t in the race, Cuccinelli might have won.” – junior Josh Schrecongost

“I think either way things will be fine, but at the same time, I really do wish more Republican candidates were elected. I was disappointed to see Cuccinelli go.” – junior Brett Eubank

“It was kind of hard to get involved with this election because I wouldn’t feel comfortable voting for either one of them. Ken Cuccinelli’s social ideas are absolutely ridiculous and his stances on abortion and a bunch of women’s rights stuff is just crazy, I don’t know how else to put it. And then economically I don’t support Terry McAuliffe’s ideas, they are just too extreme. Neither of [the candidates] are very moderate and that kind of demonstrated the problem with the two party system.” – junior Aidan Toms

“I support Robert Sarvis, on a personal level, and I was very happy with his representation. 7% is huge for a third party candidate, and aside from that I didn’t support either McAuliffe or Cuccinelli. I felt that Robert Sarvis honestly represented the libertarian party well and his 7% showing really showed that Virginia wants change and that some people are willing to take the risk of going away from the Stockholm syndrome that is the two party system.” – senior Fred Gortler
