With Fortnite’s falling popularity, a new question comes up. What’s going to be the next big game? While there is a lot of options, here are the ones we think are the most likely.

1. Apex Legends- A new battle royale game from developer EA, Apex Legends offers more realistic graphics than Fortnite, and also happens to be free to play. Using the same basic mechanics as Fortnite, where you drop in and loot up. Then you fight enemies as the map slowly shrinks in forcing players closer and closer together, until the there’s only one left standing.

2.Dota 2- A real time strategy game Dota 2 has been out for a few years, though with the release of a new DLC, the game gains popularity every day. The game works with four players starting together on a team, and their goal is to protect their own bases while trying to capture the enemies.

3.Anthem- Anthem is a new game coming out late February, also by developer EA. The game is a “looter shooter,’ where your goal is to kill virtual enemies to find rare or special loot. You develop your character to be stronger and strongerin order to take on harder and harder enemies.

4.Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds- also known as pubg. Although being released before Fortnite, PUBG currently has 50,000,000 copies sold gaining recent popularity due tothe mistakes Fortnite has been making lately. With the exact same concept as Fortnite, the only difference is the more realistic graphics.

5. An unknown game- With Apex Legends being a suprise drop, no one knows what other games might release this year. With the final decline in Fortnite’s overwhelming popularity, the time is ripe for a new game to become number one. Developers sensing this might rush ahead and release a game they’ve been working on for a while to have the best shot at being number one.
