English and Special Education Teacher Stu Poindexter
- 9th, 11th, and 12th grade English and Special Education.
- Began teaching career in Pasco County Virginia, then moved to 8th grade English at Louisa County Middle School, and then Monticello Highschool for 2 years teaching English and SPED.
- “I think I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I admired the teachers I had growing up, especially in middle and high school. It just always felt natural. There is a certain leadership component to teaching that was always attractive to me.”
- “Friday. Besides the obvious reasons, I really like being in a school environment on a Friday. There is a lot of school spirit and excitement in the halls.
- “My wife used to teach at Jouett (Journey) and now I have some of the same students she taught when she worked there. Also, we have a family dog named Emmet who is the cutest dog ever.”
