Albemarle Avoids Virus

Marc Rabourdin, Staff Reporter

Despite concern, early Tuesday morning, a virus did not strike AHS. Principal Jay Thomas stated that the computers here at Albemarle were safe from the virus, and the actions took this morning were purely preventative measures. Another undisclosed school in the ACPS system was infected with the virus, and administration wanted to prevent it from happening here at Albemarle. The only computers that were vulnerable to the virus was the school issued laptops. Mr. Thomas said that any student who did not have their school issued laptop at school today should bring their laptops into school as soon as they can, connect to the ACPS wifi, and restart their computer three times to ensure the virus cannot reach their computers.
