Patriot basketball went to the Class 5 State Finals for the first time in school history on Thursday, March 13.
Albemarle (25-3) faced Green Run (23-2) in a close game at the VCU Siegel Center. With a heartbreaking buzzer-beater at 6 seconds left, the Stallions dashed the Patriots championship dreams for this year.
