Staff to Shave Heads for Cancer Patients

Members of AHS staff will shave their heads during 1st lunch on March 28th to benefit local nonprofit, The Alyssa House. You can also shave your head to help raise money for the cause.

The Alyssa House provides housing for children and their families receiving treatment from the UVA Hospital. 10-year-old Alyssa Divers lost her life to cancer just over 10 years ago. Her mother Lynn Litchfield Divers created the Alyssa House to provide a free place for families to stay during their children’s treatments. Lynn will be here to cheer on the staff and accept the funds raised.

Mr. Lietchi, Ms. Anderson, Mr. Guerra, and Principal Bonham will shave their heads to support the nonprofit’s efforts.

You can donate to the Alyssa House here or contact Laura Anderson at [email protected] if you’re interested in shaving your head for this event, location to be determined.
