The Scholars Studios are anticipating a 33% net increase in enrollment next year, with Pulse leading the way by adding an additional 84 students.

The Scholars Studio program comprises 12 specialized studios spread out across all three high schools and ACE Academy at Seminole Place, which hosts the Link studio and was formerly known as Center I.
These Studios, which focus on subjects from coding to medicine, consist of a specialized course path with a particular emphasis on the Studio’s focus. For example, students in the Solve studio must take a series of electives beginning with a gateway course of Science, Technology, and Society and ending with a capstone in Scientific Research & Design.
This year, the Scholars Studios reported a total enrollment of 488 students. They also debuted the Scholars Physics course, which was included with the goal of serving as a foundation for any future sciences. Only Scholars Studio students are enrolled in these classes.
Health & Science Curriculum Coordinator Katina Dudley, who also serves as a lead coordinator for the Scholars Studios, feels that the clusters created by the Studios benefit students by grouping them by interest.

“I taught a biology class with only health and medical science students in it, and everyone always brought medicine into every topic that we talked about through that entire class,” Dudley said.
Looking into the future, it seems that the Scholars Studios are poised to continue their growth, with a total of 651 enrollment requests for the ‘26-’27 school year. This increase is most profound in the Pulse Studio, where enrollment increased by nearly 79%. Furthermore, should the current requests hold, enrollment in smaller studios like Blueprint, Encore, and Impact is set to more than double.
As such, Dudley remains hopeful about the program’s future. “We do think that next year with the ACE Academy at Lambs Lane opening, that we’d have more students involved, because transportation won’t be a limitation,” she said.
